Spaghetti dinner to benefit 10-year-old girl | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
A Benefit Spaghetti Dinner will be held for Claire Tolan by the Greenville Fire Company on Sat. Feb. 11.
The dinner will begin at 12 and go until 5 p.m. at Greenville High School located at Route 81 West, in Greenville.
Below is a message from Claire Tolan:
“Hi. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Claire Tolan and I am 10-years-old. I love to play soccer, softball, wrestle, and of course Irish dance. Last Wednesday my mom took me to the doctor because I kept getting bad headaches. We thought that it was just a virus, but the doctor wanted me to get an MRI just to make sure. The MRI showed that I had a tumor growing in my brain that was leaning on some of my nerves and I had to have emergency brain surgery to have the tumor removed. There is still some of the tumor left, so now I have to have radiation to get the rest.”
The dinner will help raise money for Claire’s medical bills. Her father is an active member of the Greenville Fire Company.
